Have you tried it out? And if so what are your thoughts on it.

I tried it for  very short time on the ps4 and found out that I have forgotten how the controllers operate for the console. At least I didn't just stand in one place and spin, so I have improved since the last time I tried it.
Rob has been playing it and it does look very nice, it definitely looks like a battlefield game and says that it feels like a bf game.

Obviously it's a typical beta run of course. It played ok for the most part.

But what I found and see, and this is me thinking,,,but I didn't think it really had a WW2 feel to it at all. Was more like a re-skinned BF1 to me. The maps were very very similar to alot of BF1 maps and scenery. Town squares, fountains, city centers, railways and troop lines, building models and destruction paths etc.

When we played WW2 combat games, we think of battle of the Bulge and the Ardennes Forest, Normandy landing, fight into France and across the European theaters, Pacific island hopping, Iwo Jima, Siapan, Midway etc etc. Not maps with towns that look like BF1 remodeled / re-skinned.

SO far playing it I'm kinda disappointed in EA/Dice with this one. Unless they add tons more maps of the areas i've mentioned, I prolly won't be playing it at release much.

I think if they release a Normandy assault the beach map, that in itself would make the game worth buying. Campaign and multiplayer modes !!!

I'll for sure run with it if they do. Wife is a hard core gamer as well and I'm sure she will be jammin in it as well.

Really like to see some well known battle areas focused on this go around. Bulge, Omaha Beach, Bastogne etc.
